White Sox optioned LHP Pedro Hernandez to Triple-A Charlotte. It comes as no surprise after Hernandez was battered by the Red Sox for eight runs on 12 hits over just four innings in his major league debut Wednesday. He'll return to a 2.90 ERA in the minors.
