Vogelsong has been throwing bullpen sessions this past week and took another step forward Friday by completing a simulated game. The 38-year-old was hit in the face by a pitch on May 23 resulting in several fractures but has been working his way back to full health steadily since then. He figures to begin a rehab assignment in the coming weeks with a potential return to the majors following the All-Star Break.
