Vogelsong (3-6) allowed two runs on two hits and two walks Thursday while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Vogelsong was able to bring the situation under control after giving up a walk, a stolen base and a home run to Milwaukee's top two batters in the first inning. Unfortunately, he didn't get any recompense from his offense and was lifted for a pinch hitter in the fifth after throwing just 70 pitches. His ERA on the season now stands at 4.85, which is above his career 4.48 mark. But on the bright side, this was Vogelsong's first outing since August 26th in which he didn't get shelled for four or more runs.
