Vernon Wells went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Blue Jays. Wells had an RBI ground out in the first inning and a solo homer in the seventh. While the acquisition was largely mocked, the veteran outfielder is now hitting .283/.377/.585 with four home runs, four doubles, seven RBI and a .962 OPS through 14 games. He could be worth a shot in deeper mixed fantasy leagues until Curtis Granderson (forearm) returns.
