Urrutia cleared waivers and was assigned to Double-A, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Urrutia was designated for assignment in late-July to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. He is not headed to Baltimore anytime soon, as the 29-year-old has been demoted from Triple-A to Double-A with a very average performance this season. In 80 minor league games, he is slashing .280/.339/.372 with just three home runs. The Orioles have several other outfield prospects above Urrutia on the depth chart.
