After being designated for assignment by the club Monday, Uribe was officially released by Cleveland on Friday. The veteran has had a rough time on the field this season, hitting just .206/.259/.332 with seven home runs and 25 RBI in 73 games. He could get scooped up by another team for the stretch run in the next couple days, but at age 37, Uribe might've played his last game in the majors this season.
