Toronto, San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta and Detroit have all expressed interest in signing Pagan and he's expected to make a decision in the next 48 hours, Jim Bowden of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was odd that Pagan was unsigned this winter after he hit a career-high 12 homers while slashing .277/.331/.418 last year. He reportedly failed a physical when close to signing a contract with Baltimore, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports. Pagan hit .303 (8-for-31) in seven games for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic to seemingly put to rest any fears over his health. He could land with a team that will give him steady playing time.
