Tigers optioned OF Casper Wells to Triple-A Toledo. Wells has been with the Tigers all season, but he was cleared to make room for Wednesday's starter Duane Below. The 26-year-old has been productive when called upon, batting .259 with four homers and a .781 OPS over 124 plate appearances. He'll surely be back before long.
