The swelling in Konerko's hand has gone down, and he is hoping to return to action before the season ends, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports. It's not certain when Konerko will play again, but he figures he will at least be able to play in the White Sox's final home series later this month, and is optimistic about returning sooner.
