The Reds have purchased the contract of Skipworth from Double-A Pensacola. Skipworth is up there with the big league club as insurance with Devin Mesoraco not making the trip to Chicago with the Reds. Meanwhile, Brayan Pena hurt his shoulder Sunday but is still in the starting lineup Monday night.
