The Pirates signed Stinson to a minor league deal, which includes a spring training invitation, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports. Stinson, who spent last season with the Orioles, made the Opening Day roster but posted a 6.23 ERA in eight relief appearances. He ended up spending most of the year at Triple-A Norfolk, where he recorded a 5.48 ERA in 22 appearances, including 13 starts. Stinson pitched 85.1 cumulative innings for Norfolk, going 5-5 with a 1.359 WHIP.
