The Mets reassigned Espinosa to minor-league camp Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Espinosa was a non-roster invitee after signing a minor-league deal with the Mets in February, and his chances to make the Opening Day roster were always slim give the team's infield acquisitions this offseason. The 31-year-old last saw the majors in 2017 with the Angels, Mariners and Rays, posting a .173/.245/.278 slash line in 93 games.
