Street (knee) will have season-ending surgery on Wednesday and is expected back for the 2017 season, the Los Angeles Times' Bill Shaikin reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will indeed need arthroscopic surgery on his right knee because of persistent medial knee pain. Cam Bedrosian (finger) is also on the 15-day DL, leaving Fernando Salas as the closer for now. Bedrosian was more effective than Street when both pitchers were healthy, so while Street should be back for 2017, Bedrosian is likely to be a trendy pick to take over the closer role at some point next year.
