That being said, general manager Billy Eppler didn't guarantee that the veteran would simply be handed the closer's job out of spring training, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. Cam Bedrosian is reportedly in the mix for the role as well, so Street will need to prove his health and abilities prior to Opening Day in order to maintain his pole position in the Angels bullpen.
