Solano's contract was selected from Triple-A New Orleans on Thursday. Solano will replace Martin Prado on the Marlins' 25-man roster, but not in the field. He hit just .050/.095/.100 over 20 at-bats in seven games with the Marlins earlier in the season, so even if he sees a couple starts, he's not a big threat offensively.
