Solano, who was designated for assignment Saturday, was outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans on Monday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. With J.T. Realmuto and Jeff Mathis both healthy, Solano is left as the third catcher in the organization. Despite only striking out once, Solano has just one hit in 20 at-bats this season.
