Smith signed a contract with the Twins on Saturday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Smith made 50 relief appearances for the Astros and Mariners last year and posted a 4.99 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 39.2 innings. However, he recorded a 1.80 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 25 innings during the 2019 campaign and will attempt to bounce back with Minnesota. The right-hander has recorded just nine holds across his last two seasons but should compete for a setup role heading into 2022.
