Sellers (Achilles) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. The move makes room for Jose Tabata to join the 40-man roster, with the Pirates having a much greater need in the outfield than in the infield. Sellers started rehabbing from an Achilles injury in late April, but he hasn't played in a minor league game in more than three weeks. Once healthy, he won't necessarily have a spot on the big-league roster.
