Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Zimmerman has surprisingly been hot with the bat since returning from the injured list. However, he'll get a routine rest day here, so Matt Adams will cover first base and bat fifth versus righty Jakob Janis. Adams has two hits in his last 16 at-bats, so he won't be reliable here.
