Ryan Dempster allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings in Friday's win over the White Sox. His first start since his suspension for hitting Alex Rodriguez, Dempster held the White Sox to one run over the first six innings before running out of gas in the seventh. The veteran right-hander struck out five and walked three in the victory and now sits at 7-9 with a 4.75 ERA through 26 starts this season. His rotation spot could be in jeopardy when Clay Buchholz comes off the disabled list.
