Ruggiano is out of the lineup Wednesday due to a groin injury, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports. Ruggiano missed some time late last month with a groin issue, but this setback is not considered serious and he will be available to pinch hit Wednesday. Perhaps the team will take precaution and give Ruggiano another day off Thursday, but it seems likely he'll be good to go for the majority of the Mets series.
