Royals purchased the contract of RHP Juan Gutierrez from Triple-A Omaha. The 29-year-old right-hander had an ugly 8.18 ERA in 11 innings this past season for Omaha. Gutierrez seems doubtful to crack the Royals' 2013 Opening Day roster.
