Roy Halladay tossed eight innings of one-run ball in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Marlins, holding them to five hits while walking one and striking out two. The outing comes with an asterisk next to it, as a woeful Marlins lineup was made even more laughable with Giancarlo Stanton out with a minor injury. Nevertheless, it has to be considered a step in the right direction after Halladay gave up 12 runs while failing to record an out beyond the fourth inning in his first two starts. Chances are Doc is done as an elite starter, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he's able to figure things out with diminished stuff. He'll get the Cardinals next.
