Ross feels much better this spring after struggling in his recovery from a major hip injury in August of 2013, the Arizona Republic reports. Improved health has allowed Ross to see a much greater workload this spring compared to the last two he's gone through with the Diamondbacks. Thanks to his contract, he has a good chance of sticking on the Opening Day roster as a right-handed hitting corner outfielder. His role figures to be that of a platoon partner for one of David Peralta or Ender Inciarte, although things could become more complicated if the team decides that Yasmany Tomas cannot handle the defensive rigors of third base.
