Rollins hadn't manned the keystone in 15 years, so the veteran shortstop is working on getting comfortable at the position in order to increase his value as a utility infielder. Manager Bruce Bochy said that the 38-year-old looked "pretty good" defensively playing second base. Rollins will compete with Kelby Tomlinson, Gordon Beckham, Jae-Gyun Hwang and Orlando Calixte for the utility infield spot on the 25-man roster.
