Rodriguez could be in line for more regular starts following the trade of Carlos Beltran, the New York Post reports.

The Yankees had slotted Beltran into the DH role frequently, so his departure would appear to create a spot for A-Rod, who has otherwise mostly been relegated to bench duty of late. Manager Joe Girardi was noncommittal about a regular role for the 41-year-old though, but the situation may become clearer when the Yankees return to an AL park Wednesday.
