Ricky Romero was obliterated in Sunday's loss to the Rays, surrendering seven runs on eight hits in only one-plus innings of work. Romero also walked one and didn't record a strikeout in the brief outing. Evan Longoria got the scoring started with an RBI double in the first inning, and then all everything fell apart in the second. Ben Francisco started the inning with a solo homer, then a walk and five straight hits chased Romero from the contest. He's been one of the biggest disappointments in the league this season, posting an 8-13 record and horrifying 5.80 ERA. He'll again look to turn things around when he takes on the Red Sox in Boston on Saturday.
