Cahill was let go by the Mets organization Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Cahill signed a minor-league deal with New York in May with hopes of potentially providing depth to an injured Mets rotation. After putting up a disappointing 6.52 ERA and 2.30 WHIP over 19.1 innings with Triple-A Syracuse, the Mets decided to cut him loose. If another team decides to pick up Cahill, it will almost certainly be to another minor-league deal.
