Red Sox sign LHP Jose Mijares to a minor league contract. The 29-year-old southpaw appeared in 60 games for the Giants in 2013, compiling a 4.22 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 54/20 K/BB ratio over 49 innings. He'll receive an invitation to major league spring training where he'll compete for a role in the Red Sox bullpen.
