Rays signed RHP Ramon Ramirez to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Durham. Ramirez was released by the Giants on June 18. The 31-year-old right-hander owns a 4.80 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 69 1/3 MLB innings since the start of the 2012 season.
