Rasmus (groin) might remain with Double-A Montgomery on his rehab assignment this weekend and join the Rays on Monday in Miami, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Originally slated to return Friday, Rasmus is 1-for-16 with a walk, so the club probably wants him to see more live pitches before entrusting him with a major-league job again. Upon his return, he'll occupy at least a top-side platoon job in left field. Rasmus could help a bit as a cheap pickup for matchup plays against right-handed pitching in deep mixed leagues, especially those that start five outfielders, though his woeful plate discipline may restrict the impact of any power he offers.
