Rangers placed DH Lance Berkman on the 15-day disabled list with left hip inflammation. Berkman hurt himself when he lunged for first base while beating out a double play on Saturday. He's also dealt with a right knee injury recently, so he'll be allowed to rest both ailments at least through the All-Star break. Berkman's absence figures to benefit Jurickson Profar the most, though the Rangers could also decide to give Manny Ramirez a look eventually.
