Quentin is sporting a .261/.320/.478 slash line with a home run and three RBI through 23 at-bats this spring and has seen time in the outfield and first base. The project of having Quentin play first may have some traction to it with Bud Black saying that "it's an option moving forward," after Quentin's start at first base last weekend. The Padres have plenty of right-handed power in their current outfield, but Quentin could add some much-needed power from the infield. Quentin is also healthy this spring after failing to appear in 100 games in any of his first three seasons with the Padres.
