Quentin has been officially released by the Braves.
This was inevitable after he was shipped from San Diego in the Craig Kimbrel trade, as a player like Quentin not only doesn't fit in the National League, but he also makes little sense for a rebuilding team like the Braves. Look for an American League team in need of a right-handed power bat to come calling in the coming days. If he can find his way to a situation where he can play on a semi-regular basis at DH, Quentin would be worth a flier in deeper mixed leagues. Those in AL-only leagues should consider grabbing Quentin now, as there is legitimate 20-homer upside in his bat if he's in the right situation.

What kind of B.S. is that...he doesn't "fit?"

He needs to play DH. How many NL teams are going to roster a guy that's not going to play in the field?

OK...haven't followed him recently. Why is he DH only?

Because he's a butcher in the field, and gets injured stepping out of the dugout.
