Punto was removed from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers, according to MLB.com's Jane Lee. Punto was in the original lineup for the A's, but the Rangers scratched lefty Derek Holland (head) and are now starting righty Scott Baker, so A's manager Bob Melvin switched from a righty-heavy lineup to a lefty-heavy one. Punto was replaced at second base by Eric Sogard.
