Punto could be a candidate to start at second base Friday, John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group reports. Punto was activated from the disabled list Tuesday, and provided he remains free of hamstring discomfort, look for him to start in the infield for the Athletics. Alberto Callaspo committed several defensive mistakes at second base during the team's previous series against the White Sox, so manager Bob Melvin may look to sure up the position during the important upcoming series in Seattle. Punto isn't much of a threat with the stick, however, so don't look too far into this from a fantasy perspective.
