Placido Polanco went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. It was his first start since last Monday, as he had been battling lower back stiffness. Polanco is still batting just .237/.297/.270 for the season, but if he can manage to stay healthy, a contender might view him as a decent bench option next month.
