Pirates and RHP Chris Resop avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $850,000 contract. Resop was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. The 29-year-old right-hander posted a 4.82 ERA and 79/30 K/BB ratio over 69 2/3 innings last season. He'll set-up for closer Joel Hanrahan again in 2012.
