Phillies signed LHP David Purcey to a minor league contract. He'll also get an invite to spring training. Purcey, 29, posted an ugly 5.61 ERA and 22/27 K/BB ratio over 33 2/3 innings this season between the Tigers, Athletics and Blue Jays. He'll likely serve as bullpen depth at the Triple-A level.
