Phillies placed OF-1B Laynce Nix on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 10, with a strained left calf. Nix aggravated his calf injury Wednesday after a pinch-hit single and will be out of commission for at least a couple weeks. He'll be missed, as he was off to a nice start with a .326 average and two homers off the bench for the struggling Phils.
