Phillies acquired OF Nate Schierholtz, C Tommy Joseph and RHP Seth Rosin from the Giants for OF Hunter Pence and cash considerations. Schierholtz is getting the change of scenery he asked for. The 28-year-old has only logged 197 plate appearances this season, but he should see semi-regular playing time in the Phillies' outfield the rest of the way. He has some pop and a strong arm, so he could turn into a useful piece of the Fightins. Schierholtz is making $1.3 million this season and remains under team control through 2014.
