EDGE Analysis

There was some hope Peralta would return in time for the start of the Milwaukee series after being down for two days, but the Cardinals will keep him on the bench for at least one more game. Greg Garcia will get the start at third base once again. Peralta's injury is to his left thumb, the same one he had operated on in spring training, but he seems optimistic this will prove to be a minor setback.
