After battling an upper respiratory for the last few weeks, Peralta is ready to get back on the field this weekend. He'll begin his rehab assignment at High-A Palm Beach, but the Cardinals have yet to announce how long Peralta will need before coming off the disabled list. It may be difficult for him to unseat Jedd Gyorko as the Cardinals' regular third baseman once he returns, however.
