Peavy is going to throw a private session for visiting Marines in Arizona in the next few days, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old still refuses to close the book on his playing career, and although it's tabbed as a private session, it's hard to believe that some teams in need of starting pitching depth wouldn't do their best to be present. Peavy struggled last season to the tune of a 5.54 ERA and ultimately spent time as a reliever for the Giants, but his vast portfolio of major league experience could land him a job if he can effectively throw all his offerings.
