Orioles activated C Taylor Teagarden from the 60-day disabled list. Ronny Paulino was optioned in a corresponding move, while Dana Eveland was DFA'd to offset the 40-man roster. Teagarden has been out all season with a lower back injury and will immediatly take over as the backup to Matt Wieters. The Orioles also purchased the contract of Miguel Socolovich.
