It was reported Thursday that Lowrie was managing hand pain that arose from an awkward swing. He appeared off the bench to log a double in two at-bats during Thursday's loss, but the issue appears to still be bothering the infielder, as he's set to sit against right-hander Brandon Bielak. It remains to be seen if he could be available off the bench Friday. Mark Canha moves to designated hitter as Seth Brown draws the start in right field.
