Nick Green will be designated for assignment prior to Thursday's game in order to clear a roster spot for Adeiny Hechavarria (elbow). Green has batted .321 with a homer in eight games for the Fish, but his playing time would be very limited with Hechavarria back on the roster. He'll likely clear waivers, but he has the option of declaring free agency.
