Nationals placed RHP Henry Rodriguez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 1, with a back injury. The move clears a spot for Jayson Werth's return from the disabled list. The severity of Rodriguez's injury isn't yet known. The hard-throwing right-hander has a 5.31 ERA and 31/22 over 29 1/3 innings of work this season.
