Nate Schierholtz went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and a triple Monday as the Giants beat the Mets 6-1 in the first game of a doubleheader. Needing a double for the cycle, Schierholtz grounded out in the ninth. With three homers, Schierholtz is already a third of the way to his 2011 total. He's off to a terrific start for someone who lost his job in spring training.
