Nate Schierholtz (toe) took batting practice Wednesday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list. It's a good first step, but Schierholtz has only missed just over a week of the 3-4 week timetable the Phillies gave him when he fractured his big right toe. Obviously running will be a bigger test for the outfielder.
